Versatile Power Supply
Power Supply LM317T
We have used a preset at the adjust terminal (Pin 1) of 317 varying the value of preset the output of 317 varies linearly from 1.5 to 25 volts. The circuit is very simple to assemble and this supply can be used anywhere for prototyping, so that it fulfills the need for the power supply in many projects. It is very easy to use because it involves only two external capacitors, Resistors.
LED1 lights up to indicate the availability of output from the rectifier. Resister R=2.2K limits the current through LED1 to a safe value below 10mA. The output from the bridge rectifier is smoothened by 470uF capacitor. Capacitor C2 (0.1uF) bypasses high frequency ripple.

excellent it is very useful
Very good and useful, Probably this PS can provide max 1 amp . Only increase of transformer rating will not solve , need to fix higher current transistor in output, the it become more versatile and useful, also there is need of put proper rating fuse in Input

Can this circuit controlled by a microcontroller, so the output voltages can controlled by some digital buttons.
