Step 1 - Install Ponyprog. Step 2 - Configure Ponyprog interface setup according to your programmer (Menu bar Setup->Interface Setup). Step 3 - Check whether programer is properly connected or not. Click on 'Probe' button this should give 'Test Ok' Notice window Step 4 - Now Read the device Memory if the target device is connected to the serial port by programmer hardware by going into Menu bar > Command > Read All. If device read completed successfully it means that ponyprog can communicate with your microcontroller.
