Prayog V1 with ATmega8, 16MHz is not 100% compatible to any of the standard arduino boards.
When we say Prayog is compatible to arduino, it is logically and in terms of Pin mapping. Prayog has all the basic arduino Pins, D0-D13 and A0-A5 naming printed on Prayog board. With a special boot-loader program you can upload the sketches directly onto Prayog board without using FTDI FT232R based USB to Serial TTL converters. This reduces the cost significantly. We have made Prayog board in such a manner so that it can be used as replacement to Arduino as a low cost alternative.
Arduino is a little costly to be deployed in the end design. That simply means, If you have an Arduino board with you and you design something useful to you using that board, I don't think you are going to deploy your arduino board permanently to that device. Simply because you love your arduino board and you don't wanna buy another one as it is a little expensive also. But Prayog costs very less If you develop any application around your arduino board or Prayog board you can easily map it to another Prayog board and can deploy the Prayog to your end design.
It has got all the functionality of a basic arduino board (except it does not have on board serial communication facility).
So its not 100% compatible to Arduino but you an download almost all the Arduino sketches on to it Just like any other arduino boards (UNO. Duemilinova)
